Delegated Administrator Console

The Delegated Administrator Console serves as the central hub for managing all email configurations and preferences within your department. As a Delegated Administrator, you'll have the privilege to manage user accounts, view your department's security score, perform other security-related actions, such as unblock user accounts, recover deleted emails, and view various other email reports within your department.

Note

  • Make sure that your device is connected to the ZScaler Client Connector app before accessing the Delegated Admin Console.
  • If you haven't set up the ZScaler Client Connector app, please reach out to the NIC Email Division for assistance with the setup.

Delegated Administrator - Overview

Delegated Administrators have specific privileges within the NICeMail Admin Console to perform and manage operations related to user accounts and accesses. The Delegated Administrator privileges are as follows.

Dashboard
  • View various widgets displaying data such as email traffic stats, storage reports, security reports, etc.
  • Customize the Admin Console Dashboard to enable or disable certain widgets depending on your requirement.
Users
  • View the users in your department, plan and storage assigned, etc.
  • Add new users, activate or deactivate a user account.
  • Update the user's work profile information.
  • Update the user's personal information, account expiry date.
  • Add or update the recovery mobile number of a user.
  • Auto-generate a new password for a user and force the user to change password upon login.
  • Add email aliases to an existing user.
  • View a user's last login activity and session history.
  • Delete a user account.
Groups
  • View the list of email groups available in your department.
  • Add a user to the existing group.
  • Create a new group and associate users to the group.

Note: Currently, you can view and manage all distribution lists only through the old email service platform. Once the groups are migrated to the new NICeMail services platform, you will be able to perform the actions listed in the Group Management section.

Data Migration
  • Monitor the entire user migration process of your department.
  • View the number of successful, failed, and ongoing migrations, along with detailed reports on data-specific migration for each user.
Security & Compliance
  • View the list of emails quarantined, delivered and denied.
  • Block or unblock user accounts.
  • Schedule deleted email recovery for a user.
Reports
  • View your department user's email reports such as:
    • email traffic stats
    • license utilization
    • user account reports
    • storage reports
    • audit logs
    • security & compliance reports
  • Export or schedule a report.
